Dr. Julius Kyomya
Dr. Julius Kyomya, a pharmacist and researcher at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, shares his journey as a PHARMBIOTRAC-sponsored scholar. Since graduating with a Master of Pharmacy in Clinical Pharmacy (2024), he has innovated in diabetes care, advanced research in antimicrobial resistance and mental health, and mentored young pharmacists. He credits Pharmbiotrac’s training and community outreach programs for shaping his vision in community health.
Dr. Hilda IKiriza
Dr. Hilda IcKiriza, a 2022 PHARMBIOTRAC Ph.D. graduate in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, reflects on her impactful journey. Now a senior research scientist, she has set up a cutting-edge laboratory, secured research grants, and leads projects in plant cell culturing and microbial studies to combat antimicrobial resistance. Dr. Hilda aspires to expand research into virology and cytotoxicity, showcasing the enduring impact of PHARMBIOTRAC’s support.
Dr. John Isiiko
Dr. John Isiiko, a 2022 graduate of PHARMBIOTRAC’s Master of Pharmacy in Clinical Pharmacy program, now works as a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist at the Uganda Cancer Institute. Dr. Fredrick Atwiine, a 2024 Pharmbiotrac graduate, is a Principal Clinical Pharmacist and an assistant lecturer. Dr Silas Ojuka
Dr. Silas Ojuka, a Clinical Pharmacist at Uganda Heart Institute, completed his Master’s in Clinical Pharmacy with PHARMBIOTRAC’s support. He highlights training in patient care and community engagement, advancing the use of traditional medicines in Uganda’s healthcare system.
Dr Serawit Deyno Chorito
Dr. Serawit Deyno Chorito, an Ethiopian postdoctoral fellow, excels in pharmacology, antimicrobial resistance, and traditional medicine. With over 800 citations and numerous publications, he actively contributes to healthcare research and postgraduate training, attributing his journey to PHARMBIOTRAC.

Dr Clement Olusoji Ajayi

Mr Geoffrey Kachiko
Dr. Geoffrey Kachiko, a PHARMBIOTRAC scholarship recipient and 2024 graduate of the Master of Science in Pharmacognosy and Natural Medicine Science at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, shares his inspiring journey. He is now the CEO of Kachiks Natural Product Company Limited, where he developed the innovative and well-researched Immuno-Kachiks product, funded by PHARMBIOTRAC. His expertise has also earned him a position as an Assistant Lecturer at Metropolitan International University. Dr. Kachiko attributes his professional growth and achievements to the knowledge and support received from Pharmbiotrac.

As a Clinical Pharmacist at Nairobi Hospital, Dr. Gathii Evanson, a 2022 PHARMBIOTRAC scholar, specializes in patient-centered care and operates a Drug Information Center. He acknowledges PHARMBIOTRAC’s roles in equipping him with the expertise to excel in his career.
Prof. Dr. Lina Sara Mathew Alonga
Prof. Dr. Lina Sara Mathew Alonga, an Assistant Professor at Bahr El Ghazal University and Director General for Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology in South Sudan, reflects on her impactful career. With roles that include lecturing, supervising research, and leading national STI policy development, Prof. Alonga has become a key figure in advancing science and innovation in her country. She also fosters international partnerships and advocates for the exchange of knowledge to drive South Sudan’s development. Prof. Alonga’s leadership extends to being a member of various prestigious committees and international fora, strengthening the STI landscape in South Sudan.
